Color characterization

Pigment Red 122 is a very bright bluish red pigment,and the shade is close to megenta.The tinting strength is higher than Pigment Puple19( γ – modification).For example,to modulate the same chrominance sample,the amount of Pigment Red 122 is 80% of  γ – modification Pigment Violet 19.

Varieties characteristics  The chemical structure of Pigment Red 122 is 2,9dimethyl quinacridone.Therefore,compared with un-substituted quinacridone pigment purple19(γ – modification),the light fastness and weather resistance is better.Pigment Red 122 has excellent comprehensive fastness,and it is suitable for coloring general polyolefin and engineering plastics.However,when used at low concentration,it often occur color difference and light fastness decrease,for micro dissolution pf Pigment red 122 in polymer.

Pigment Red 122 is suitable for the coloring of polypropylene before spinning and during spinning.It is cautious recommend when used in polyester and nylon 6.Pigment Red 122 can cause moderate warage when used in partially crystalline HDPE plastics.What’s more,it can become the standard color in bluish red zone.
